Freedom writers

In my opinion, the ending of this story is a good one.Although it was a pity that Mrs Gruwell divorced with her husband. Her husband could have been more understanding and respect her decision of wanting to help her class bond together. The story ended where the class came to respect her for her good intentions of bringing the class together and also learn to differentiate right and wrong. They came to realise their mistakes of judging other races so quickly based on their prejudiced views of them and learnt to respect and care for one another despite their difference in skin colour and race.Mrs Gruwell is a very responsible and respectable woman as well as a teacher.Although she may be just a teacher who can choose to leave this kids fighting amongst themselves, she chose to step out and enlighten this kids as she feels that it is necessary for her to teach them the correct moral values and thinkings in life.Prejudice is the child of ignorance. We should all stop these unkind discriminations against those who are slightly different from we are.Instead we should all be sensible and love one another and accept them for who they are.All people, regardless man or woman, black or white should not be judged solely based on their appearances but instead on the content of personalities. This is the way everyone should live their lives-in the world with peace,anti-racism and full of love for everyone. This is certainly a good book as it teaches readers that racism is strongly discouraged as it deprives people of much things such as friendship, love and bliss.

The ending of the story is rather serene and tranquil. Even though in the chapter of "the fourteenth tuesday, we say good-bye", the emotions of both Morrie and the author, Mitch, reached a highest point; the author ended the story with no one witnessing Morrie's death. For Morrie to die so silently in the chapter of "Graduation", I feel that it perfectly completes his life of devotion to others. Nothing too emotional or dramatic, his death was just a simple departure. I think that Morrie's death is very suitable for him, as from the book I know that he is one with extremely positive attitude towards life. He does not fear death. He defines a meaningful lfe as "devoting yourseldf to loving others, devoting yourself to your community around you, devoting yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning". I believe that Morrie's life is one that is full of meaning and purpose, even after he is gone. His teachings to Mitch continue to impact his life. In the "Conclusion", Mitch reconciled with his brother. Instead of ending the story with Morrie's death, the author goes on to show how much Morrie has really impacted his life. Mitch and his brother have not been in speaking terms for years, until Mitch mustered up his courage to call his brother. Morrie did not only teach Mitch the meaning of life, bt also bridged the gap between two brothers. A [erfect ending to Tuesdays with Morrie.

Storyboarding : Tuesdays with Morrie

Task B
I think tht the ending is a good and meaningful one because it ends off the story well. Morrie died at the end due to his illness because there was no cure to it. Yet, before he died, even when he was on his deathbed, he did not stop giving.

Morrie had never stopped inspiring and touching people's lives, especiallty those around him. He not only did his part as a teacher but gave more than what a friend could ever give. He should be one of the most marvelous teacher i have come acrossed so far. Morrie incoporated life values and morals into that of a student. He also displayed how he enjoyed conversing with Mitch. He taught Mitch values of life like having courage to face the truth. Don't put up a strong front of others because it is okay to cry sometimes. You need to cry to forget the pain and to remind yourself of your ultimate aim. Also, when you recognise fear, you won't allow it to control you. Be contended with what you have. Forget what the culture says. Ignore it because it is okay to be different from what people expect you to be. Leaving a deep impression after we have passed on is one of the best gifts you can ever leave for your loved ones. And this valuable gift is the gift of love and knowledge that Morrie has displayed. One that inspires and empowers life.
